My journey with filmmaking started as far back as when I was an 8 year old kid, creating home videos with friends in my treehouse. In my teenage years I began to enter a number of film contests and won some awards! It was super fun and fulfilling and really fueled my fire for filming and editing videos. Here are some of the films I’m still proud to call my very first projects! You can find more PSAs and short films I made on my YouTube channel if you’re interested in going that far back. 🙂

I filmed and edited this documentary featuring my sister Micayla, following her journey post-injury to achieving her goal of being accepted into The Royal Ballet School in England It won Best Cinematography in the High School division of the California Student Media Festival hosted by PBS SoCal and it was shown on PBS multiple times in the Fall of 2014.
Receiving the award for Best Cinematography at the PBS SoCal California Student Media Festival, June 2014.
This short PSA made it into the top 8 in the One World One Ocean video contest.
Filmed and edited this short surf film when I was 15 which was the winner of the Big Shorts From Little Groms Film Contest. I received the best in show award and best story award. I was very proud of it, and also proud to say that I got full permission to use all the music in it, directly from the artists themselves.
Filmed and edited this short surf film when I was 14! It placed in the Finals for the Hot Grom Shorts kids’ film contest September 2010.
Filming interviews with groms at the Hurley Pro. Had them sign waivers and everything so it was legit!
