Carly Stone is a freelance videographer based in Southern California. From a young age she has always been behind the camera, between creating award-winning short films for student film festivals, learning from the best in the industry and gaining firsthand experience in the business, Carly has been honing her craft for over a decade. Visual storytelling is a powerful art form and her passion is telling stories and capturing people doing what they do best. She has had many mentors over the years as well as the unique opportunity to be an apprentice to surf videographer Justin Jung at Rip Curl. At the moment Carly documents up-and-coming junior surfers for USA Surfing at their Prime competitions, creates online streaming videos for powerhouse fitness studio Bounce Society, and films the talented Manuel the Band live in action. Carly has worked with professional surfers Tia Blanco and Taylor Knox and other clients include: El Sol Academy, The Tarsadia Foundation, Crystal Cove Conservancy, Code Media, JKrumb Studios, Goodfinch Media, Alani Media, Rip Curl, Toyota and Stanley Clarke.
